The Retinol 0.5 Oil 20ml

Description

COSRX's The Retinol 0.5 Oil is a highly concentrated oil solution of retinol (0.5%).

Retinol has a whole host of benefits, including evening out skin tone, promoting collagen and elastin production, reducing fine lines, wrinkles and the appearance of large pores and helping reduce acne and skin texture.

This oil is not for the inexperienced or faint of heart! 

New to retinol? We recommend you start with a product with 0.1% such as the COSRX The Retinol 0.1 Cream until your skin adapts before using this product.

Directions

*Use at night and use sunscreen during the day

*Side effects include redness, itchiness, peeling skin, feeling of photosensitivity.

Use after cleansing. Apply 1 to 2 drops to your palm and tap with fingertips over your face from the inside out while avoiding sensitive areas and let it absorb.

Limit initial use to three times per week; gradually increase frequency to every other night, use as tolerated.

Too much irritation? Try the sandwich method!

Apply a small amount of moisturiser to sensitive areas before using retinol and follow with a second layer of moisturiser. For under the eye, use eye cream instead.

Official directions as recommended by COSRX below:

/Week 1~2/
- Frequency : use only 2~3 times a week at night 
- How to Use : After cleansing, at the moisturizer step, apply 1-2 drops to areas of concern. e.g. under eyes, mouth, forehead and neck

/Week 3~/
- Frequency : may apply every other day at night
- How to use : After cleansing, at the moisturizer step, may spread over the entire face.

* The "building tolerance" phase can be shortened or extended depending on individual differences
* Maintain this phase until no discomfort is experienced. 
* Gradually increase frequency and areas of application.
